We Appreciate Your Support

The Lettermen’s Association would like to say Thank You to all of its current dues paying, lifetime and Hall of Fame members for your loyalty to the Association.  We reached a membership all-time high of 861 members in an unsettling economy this past fiscal year and we would like to reward you for your continued support during this time.

As an Association, we will be offering special incentives to our dues paying members throughout the year, but this first incentive corresponds with the current football season.

As a token of our appreciation, we would like to offer a complimentary meal to all dues paying, lifetime and Hall of Fame members at the Lettermen’s Tailgate, located in Lot 3 of the football parking lot, during the remaining home games

We have designated a few home football games this year as our Decade Recognition games.  At these games we will recognize athletes, trainers and managers from all sports who playedand participated during those decades, including a special PA announcement made during those games.

Please take a look of what we have to offer:

Hall of Fame Members – If you are a Lettermen’s Association Hall of Fame Member you will enjoy a complimentary meal at the Lettermen’s Tailgate at all the remaining home games this season. All we ask is that you wear either your Hall of Fame Member lapel pin or Hall of Fame logo polo shirt when you come to the tailgate.

Lifetime Association Members - If you are a Lifetime member we want to show our appreciation by offering you a complimentary meal at the Lettermen’s Tailgate at all the remaining home games this season.  We will use the names on the Lifetime Members List on the Lettermen's Association website as our guide. Please check the website to make sure we have your information down correctly.

50’s -60’s Decade – Oct. 17 vs. Colorado St.  -  If you played any sport or were a manager or trainer at TCU during these decades and you are current in your Lettermen’s Association dues, then you will be able to enjoy a complimentary meal at the Lettermen’s Tailgate.  Your name needs to be on the Current Members list of names on the Lettermen’s Association website to receive the complimentary meal. Please check the website if you are not sure if you are current.

30’s-40’s Decade – Oct. 31 vs. UNLV (Homecoming) - If you played any sport or were a manager or trainer at TCU during these decades, we want you to enjoy a complimentary meal at the Lettermen’s Association Tailgate. You don't have to be current with your dues to take part, we just want to show our appreciation to you.

70’s-80’s Decade – Nov. 14 vs. Utah - If you played any sport or were a manager or trainer at TCU during these decades and you are current in your Lettermen’s Association dues, then you will be able to enjoy a complimentary meal at the Lettermen’s Tailgate.  Your name needs to be on the Current Members list of names on the Lettermen’s Association website to receive the complimentary meal. Please check the website if you are not sure if you are current.

90’s – 00’s Decade – Nov. 28 vs. New Mexico - If you played any sport or were a manager or trainer at TCU during these decades and you are current in your Lettermen’s Association dues, then you will be able to enjoy a complimentary meal at the Lettermen’s Tailgate.  Your name needs to be on the Current Members list of names on the Lettermen’s Association website to receive the complimentary meal. Please check the website if you are not sure if you are current.

The Lettermen’s Association Tailgate Pit is located in Lot 3 of the football parking lot, north of the stadium before Cantey St. The "Pit" is headed by football letterman John Marsh and his crew of Lettermen’s Association Members. The "Pit" survives on the sweat equity from its volunteers and from the donations from the guests that eat at the tailgate.

So if you are a current dues paying Lettermen’s Association Member, please come and enjoy a complimentary meal when your decade is being honored. If you are a Lifetime or Hall of Fame member, please come by and enjoy when you can.

Also, if you are a current dues paying letterman or lifetime member and your name is not on the current or lifetime list on the Lettermen’s Association website and you paid your dues, please email Greg Blackwell at g.blackwell@tcu.edu and he will do some research and correct the problem. 

This is just one of the first steps we are taking to show our appreciation to our current dues paying, lifetime and Hall of Fame members.
