Who We Are
Teamwork. Achieving goals. Exceeding expectations. Winning. Earning a Degree. These are all components of the student-athlete experience at TCU.
But the rewarding experience doesn't stop at graduation. The TCU Lettermen’s Association makes sure that the winning continues.
In 2008-09, the Lettermen’s Association:
- Saw a record 861 members contribute annual dues and make gifts to the Association, up 32 percent from 2007-08. (More than 25 percent of former Horned Frog student-athletes are active members,which exceeds the national average.)
• Increased attendance of members from all decades and sports at the Annual Meeting and
other membership events.
• Saw more than 72 percent of dues and gifts received through the upgraded Lettermen’s
Association Web site.
• Increased its Board of Directorships and added nine additional Board of Director positions.
• Inducted the following Horned Frogs into the Lettermen’s Hall of Fame: Marshall E. Harris ‘54, football; J.J. Henry ‘98, golf; Dennis Nutt ‘86, basketball; Michael Reeder ‘97, football; Khadevis Robinson '98, track & field and Rene Simpson '88, women's tennis.
• Awarded more than $55,000 in scholarship assistance to the children of current dues-paying lettermen through the Dutch Meyer Scholarship. - Held a number of festive events for members of the Lettermen’s Association, including Floating Fandango River Float Trip, Frog Club Palooza All-Sport Kickoff, Lettermen’s Golf Tournament, and Lettermen’s Football Tailgate Parties.
- Volunteered with FrogHouse, a Habitat for Humanity project, led by TCU's Junior Class and along with many other volunteers in the TCU family to provide a home to a deserving family.
